Please for help – planning application

Dear All, We have the opportunity to develop the Club waterfront. The intention is to create landing staging and shore protection at a suitable height above beach level in front of the clubhouse to make access to safety boats and other craft easier and safer. It is also the intention to improve other areas. For the main work which requires dredging, piling, reinforcing and the laying of a walkway planning permission is required. This involves the creation of drawings and calculations of a quality to pass local council planning office requirements. Help is needed. Is there anyone who has the necessary knowledge and experience who would be willing to undertake the task of preparing the application and seeing it through the council process? Time is of the essence and we have window of only 3 months in which we must commence work. We cannot start until planning permission has been obtained therefore would whoever would like to undertake this task please let me know by Monday, 23 Jan 12. AGM – 25th January at 7.30 pm

Happy New Year to everybody!  The last race of the year was on Boxing Day and the safety boats have been lifted out, but please don’t forget about the club until the new season.  The Annual General Meeting will begin at 19.30 on Wednesday 15th January, in the club house.  It is good to have the participation of as many members as possible, so please come if you can.

Echo Cash for Your Community – last coupons

Dear All, Thank you to those who are collecting the Lincolnshire Echo Cash for Your Community coupons. The end is approaching, 15 Dec 11 is the date for the last coupons and these have to be received by the Echo no later than 22 Dec 11 and here we have a problem. To date the coupons that have been left in the box in the Club have been collected and sent on. As the paper is released on Thursdays it means that coupons are brought to the Club on Sunday, thus there are only 3 days in which to get the last batch of coupons to the Echo’s offices which could be difficult for me. Therefore would you all please send the cupons that you have collected directly to the Echo following the instructions given in the Coupon Collection Form that is printed in the paper.

Echo – Cash for Your Community appeal

You will remember me sending you a message to say that we, the Hykeham Sailing Club, were applying to be considered among the 200 local community organisations to get a share of the £20,000 that the Lincolnshire Echo is wanting to donate.  Well, we have been succesful and are one of the 200 selected groups and so the game is afoot.

The amount of money that we will receive will depend on the number of coupons that we can collect.  The coupons will be printed weekly in the Lincolnshire Echo commencing from Thursday, 10 November until Thursday, 15 December.  The final date for receipt of the coupons by is Thursday, 22 December and the results will be announced in the New Year.

We shall be up against keen competition from all the other groups all wanting to get as many coupons as they can and so I ask, on behalf of the Club that al of you who can makes extraordinary efforts to collect coupons, ask your friends, work colleagues, relatives, steal the coupon from any paper that is lying around in public places. In fact do anything that is honest or dishonest to collect coupons.

Having collected the coupons please let me have them as I am coordinating this project.  There will be a box on the Club bar in which they can be left.  If you are not visiting the Club then put them in an envelope and send them to to the address shown below.
